Being from the same neighborhood, they would see each other on the bus each morning on their way to school. Although they went to different high schools, that didn’t stop Leia from noticing Jerel, although at the time she claimed he wasn’t that interested and must have been into ‘older’ girls…,an accusation that he quickly denies. One of her girlfriends would even mention to him that she was interested but since that was not something that he heard directly from her, he would leave it at that for the time being. Although they would soon graduate from their respective high schools and the years would go by, it wasn’t until a mutual friend happen to show Leia a picture that the spark could have another chance at becoming a flame. Leia noticed Jerel in the picture and told the mutual friend that he should tell Jerel to come down to where she was bartending at the time and he would see that she was “not a little girl anymore.” Jerel was happy to oblige and before long they were at the bar talking a bit and exchanged numbers. Jerel admits that he had some things going on at the time that keep things from progressing immediately. So it wasn’t until a couple of months later that Leia reached out on the age old Myspace that things would turn into high gear and stay there. Plans were made for dinner and something about him being late due to getting his haircut turned dinner plans into lets just grab a few cocktails at Philly’s famous Ms Tootsie’s. The rest is history… Jerel proposed about 2 years ago and they will be getting married later this year at The Townsend Ballroom and we will be right there to document every minute.
Enough of us talking, enjoy some of our favorites from our little get together last month for their engagement session.

…classic but one of our favorites.

Nothing like breaking out a little bubbly…its 5 o’clock somewhere.

I’m not sure what I was saying right here but clearly they think I’m hilarious.

You two are just too cute together….you make this look easy.

Even as we were wrapping up, they couldn’t keep it together…we had lots of fun that day and we are eagerly looking forward to their big day this fall. Congrats again L & J!
