PINECREST COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING : ANGEL & BRENDAN

If you could think back for just a moment, what were you doing in third grade?  Maybe learning to read and write, or making friends in the schoolyard during recess. We remember being excited to learn to write script.  How about finding your soulmate???  I don’t think any of us were looking for that just yet, and neither was Angel or Brendan.  In fact, they didn’t even like each other in third grade and for most of their schooling, but little did they know what life had in store for them.  Love has a way of finding you whether you are looking for it or not, and sometimes in the most unexpected ways.  Years later Angel and Brendan reconnected and love found its way to their hearts. They became friends and then lovers and began creating wonderful memories together, including the birth of their daughter.  Who would have known that a journey that began at age 8 would now embark on a new adventure: marriage.  On their wedding day the happiness filled the air as everyone prepared for such a wonderful occasion.  Here are some of our favorites for their day.  Enjoy!

Angel wore a picture of her late father on her bouquet as a tribute to him on the day of her wedding.

Beautiful!!

The things little boys can get into when left alone after the ceremony.

This was not planned but the guys from vitamin water decided to stop outside the church when they saw the big crowd outside and do what they do best….and oh were we thankful, it was HOT!

Its only right that before we headed over to the reception, we went to Shawmont elementary school where it all began for these two.

We LOVE this picture!

The Pinecrest Country club posed as a beautiful backdrop for some bridal party pics.

Once the party started, they even had Justin Bieber make a guest appearance.

We will end on this note.  Congratulations again Angel & Brendan!

LONGWOOD GARDENS ENGAGEMENT SESSION : TIFFANY & ROY

The 215 meets the 757, Philadelphia meets Virginia.  It didn’t take long after Tiffany & Roy met for them to realize that they had a natural and immediate attraction to one another.  After enough trips back & forth, up & down the highway, Roy decided that it was time for him to make his move and turn their 2 different area codes into one.   They are both two of the nicest people you could ever meet…really.  Roy works as a support assistant counseling at risk youth, while Tiffany is an auditor, traveling to places like Taiwan, San Francisco, London etc.  We had the privilege of getting together with the two of them at the very scenic Longwood Gardens, and meeting Roy for the first time to take their engagement pictures.

Tiffany & I (Bernard) went to college together, so it was a special honor when she contacted us to inquire about photography after being referred by a mutual friend.  I’m pretty sure she has helped me with an accounting course or two back in the TU days.

We hope you enjoy the images!

Not really sure which one of our all-star jokes we pulled out here, but it certainly was a crowd pleaser!

Believe it or not, this was our first time shooting/visiting Longwood Gardens, and we can’t wait to shoot there again, it is absolutely beautiful!

Get ‘em Roy!

Ok so the story behind this picture is, this whole area was roped off, but being the daring people that they are, Tiffany & Roy wanted to seize the opportunity to shoot on this hill.  Who are we to deny them the thrill, so before they made a run for it, we got our camera settings ready & told them exactly where to sit, and this is the result.  LOVE IT!!!

For you photography nerds out there, this is our attempt at playing around with a very slow shutter…kinda like it.

STUNNING!  We showed Tiffany this picture, and her reaction was, “OMG my mother is going to LOVE this picture”.

Our last two images before heading into the city to wrap up the session.  Something about the older couple sharing a moment together made us smile.

After a quick change of outfits, we had just enough time before the sun set to take a few more pics.

And we will end on this sweet & tender note.  Thanks for a good time, T & R, looking forward to doing it all again before the year is out.
